We all love to spend our time in home with our family,  relaxing in our bedroom, watching tv, reading etc. But what if our house don’t match our personality and is not as entertaining and relaxing as we want it after a long hustling day? Yes, it’s very necessary to design our house with proper planning and well execution. Here I am sharing tips from scratch to success in converting your HOUSE to HOME.

 

·      LIVING ROOM

So living room is the first room when you or your knowns enter your house. It creates the first impression about your personality and lifestyle.

 

Start with furniture, a comfy sofa with table, a wall unit and cozy seats. Make sure the furniture is bought of same theme and from same shop so it would not create those mismatching disaster.

 

Hang some wall units to decorate the plain coloured wall or use wallpaper to highlight the main wall of leaving room.

 

Paint living room with bright colour combos to feel energetic vibes when you enter in. Add a good flooring to enhance the look

 

Keep some flower vase if you love fresh flower smell or you can also use artificial flower sets to just add a element.

 

Lightings and ventilation is important concept in designing any room of your house. Make sure there are big windows to let natural light enter in.

·      BEDROOM

Bedroom is where you can find some personal place. It’s important that your bedroom express your personality and is designed according to your personal emotions and ideas.

 

Paint your bedroom with calm and low intensity colours in order to get relaxing vibes.

 

When it comes to furniture, a bed accompanied by super comfy mattress, a cabinet, a dressing table and if you need some work space in your bedroom if large enough to accommodate a table chair set.

 

Add some mood lights and accessories like perfume candles to bedroom to relax your mind after a busy day.

 

Put a carpet on the floor to have a extra classy look and it will also maintain hygiene.

 

Add curtains to window. Make sure the curtains are not so dark coloured that they block the natural light entering the room.

·      KITCHEN

Kitchen is the area of house which is mostly ignored by people while designing their house, but it’s as important as it is to design boss’s cabin while designing the whole office.

 

Get your kitchen the modern look by just getting the proper furniture. Use modular kitchen concept to design classy kitchen

 

Use granite in making the platform. Add other accessories according to your requirement.

 

Plant some herbs if you are a gardening lover.

·      BATHROOM

Tiling bathroom is better than to leave plain walls.

 

Add cabinet, modern shower accessories and modern commode.

 

Make sure that bathroom is well ventilated. Add exhaust fan.

 

Keep scented candles or air freshener to maintain hygiene. 

·      BONUS POINTS TO LEVEL UP DECOR

Use DIYs and reuse some waste materials to make wall arts, wall piece, decorative mirrors, seating sets.

 

Waste materials that can be used are old tires to make wall piece or seats, ropes to decorate mirrors, glass bottles can be painted and used as vases.

 

Don’t over clutter any room with furniture. It will make the room smaller. Use glass partitions to create illusion of bigger room.

 

If possible use convertible furniture to make 100% use of available space.
